UK cautions it could fight China over Taiwan

I'm sorry, but UK Defense Secretary, John Healey, must be living in a parallel universe to the rest us.

Does he actually seriously believe that UK forces, the combined amount of which could easily fit into Villa Park football stadium, can defeat the might of the Chinese forces? He's living in cloud cuckoo land, clearly believing in the glory Empire days of yesteryear, the likes of which have long since passed!

The UK is far from being able to wage war on China, or even Russia, come to that! Anyone who believes otherwise is either a fool or deluded, or both!

As to the root of the issue, it is well to remember that the UK along with the US and most of the world, officially recognises Taiwan as being part of China under the One-China principle, so what the hell is the problem?!

Ask yourself this question, would it be OK for a foreign nation to threaten the UK with war over the UK's Channel Islands, even if the islanders themselves wanted complete independence?

It honestly does appear, as each day passes, that Western governments are steadfastly intent on a third world war!
